Asset ID™ uses a combination of hardware and software
from all four partners. The main pieces are:
The RFID Tag

In selected IBM PC and laptop models the RFID chip is installed
at the point of manufacture. The RFID chip is attached to
the motherboard of the computer where it keeps track of
the various peripheral hardware components. In addition,
information about the user, location of the computer, and
software configuration can be stored on the RFID tag.
The AMH100

HID's, ProxTrak, Handheld Reader/Writer permits a wireless
connection to the RFID tag so information can be read from
the tag and also written to it. This product streamlines
asset security, inventory tracking, asset management and
equipment maintenance applications by collecting and writing
data without disrupting equipment or users
The PDT 6100

This Symbol Technologies, Inc. terminal contains the software
that allows the mobile operation of the read/write capability
to the RFID tag. This series of Portable Data Terminals
combines superior ergonomics, a high-performance scan engine
and optimum battery life to provide you with unsurpassed
performance for gathering, displaying and communicating
the critical data that drives your business.
Asset TraQ™

This asset management software allows the data collected
from the RFID tag to be stored, manipulated and analyzed
by the user in a PC environment. Based on experience with
over 300 systems, QueTel developed Asset TraQ with the necessary
components for maintaining a fixed asset database - entering
data accurately and easily, keeping it accurate, providing
access to data and recording a history of use.
